Newington West was aparliamentary constituency in theNewington area ofSouth London. It returned oneMember of Parliament (MP) to theHouse of Commons of theParliament of the United Kingdom, elected by thefirst past the post system.
The constituency was created by theRedistribution of Seats Act 1885 for the1885 general election. It was abolished for the1918 general election, although the new constituency ofSouthwark Central had very similar boundaries.
Part of St Mary's ward and Trinity and St Paul's ward.[1]
