New York's 9th State Assembly district is one of the 150 districts in the New York State Assembly. It has been represented by RepublicanMichael Durso since 2021.
District 9 includes portions ofNassau andSuffolk counties. It includes portions of the towns ofOyster Bay,Babylon, andIslip, and most of the villages ofMassapequa Park,North Amityville andBabylon. The district also includes the hamlets ofNorth Babylon,West Babylon,West Islip, and portions ofFire Island and theGreat South Bay.
The district overlaps New York's2nd and3rd congressional districts, as well as the4th and8th districts of theNew York State Senate.
