New York's 49th State Senate district is one of 63 districts in theState Senate of the U.S. state of New York. It has been represented byRepublicanMark Walczyk since 2023.[3]

Geography

District 49 is located in northernNew York covering all ofHamilton,Fulton,Jefferson, andLewis Counties, as well as parts ofHerkimer,Oswego, andSt. Lawrence Counties.[1][4]

The district overlaps with New York's21st and24th congressional districts, and with the 110th, 111th, 112th, 113th, 114th, and 120th districts of theNew York State Assembly.[5]
