TheNew Korea Party (NKP;Korean: 신한국당;RR: Sinhangukdang) was founded by the merging ofRoh Tae-woo'sDemocratic Justice Party,Kim Young-sam'sReunification Democratic Party andKim Jong-pil's New Democratic Republican Party to form theDemocratic Liberal Party (DLP;민주자유당). It was renamed toNew Korea Party in 1995.[5]
In 1997, the NKP merged with the Democratic Party to form theGrand National Party.
