Nesheim Church (Norwegian:Nesheim kyrkje) is aparish church of theChurch of Norway inVaksdal Municipality inVestland county,Norway. It is located in the village ofNesheim. It is the church for the Nesheimparish which is part of theHardanger og Voss prosti (deanery) in theDiocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in along church design in 1908 using plans drawn up by thearchitectAdolf Schirmer (one source creditsHartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff).[1] The church seats about 120 people.[2][3]
The church wasconsecrated on 17 September 1908 by the BishopJohan Willoch Erichsen. Originally the church had a smallsacristy adjacent to thechancel, but in 1973, the old sacristy was enlarged.[4][1]
