Nepenthes treubiana (/nɪˈpɛnθiːztrɔɪbiˈɑːnə/; afterMelchior Treub) is a tropicalpitcher plant native toWestern New Guinea and the island ofMisool (including a number of smaller islands).[1][2][3]
This species occurs on the cliffs of theMcCluer Gulf and in coastal regions of theFakfak peninsula.[2] Large subpopulations are now confirmed onMisool.[1][4] GeographerStewart McPherson had been unable to find any plants during a prior trip to the island (although he did findN. sp. Misool).[2]
Nepenthes treubiana has no knownnatural hybrids.[2] No forms or varieties have been described.[2]
