Nenad Jestrović (Serbian Cyrillic: Ненад Јестровић; born 9 May 1976) is a Serbian retiredfootballer who played as aforward.
Jestrović started his playing career withRadnički Obrenovac in the early 1990s. He then played forOFK Beograd in theFirst League of FR Yugoslavia, before moving abroad for the first time in the summer of 1997. Jestrović spent three years in France, representingSC Bastia (1997–1998) andMetz (1998–2000). He then moved to Belgian clubMouscron, having a lot of success in the 2000–01 season.
Jestrović spent the best years of his career atAnderlecht (2001–2005), becoming theBelgian First Division top scorer in the2004–05 season. He made a total of 80 league appearances and scored 55 goals, before leaving theBrussels club in January 2006. Jestrović then spent a year and a half in the United Arab Emirates, playing forAl Ain andAl Nasr.
Jestrović also became theSerbian SuperLiga top scorer in the2007–08 season while playing forRed Star Belgrade. He split his last season between Turkish clubKocaelispor (2008) and his former clubMetz (2009), before retiring in the summer of 2009.
At international level, Jestrović representedSerbia and Montenegro from 2003 to 2005, making 12 appearances and scoring five goals.[1] His final international was an August 2005friendly match away againstUkraine.[2]
