Nemšová (Hungarian:Nemsó) is a town in theTrenčín District,Trenčín Region in northwesternSlovakia.
Themunicipality lies at analtitude of 245 metres (804 ft)[3] and covers anarea of 33.44 km2 (12.91 sq mi) (2024).[4]
Nemšová is located in theIlava Basin at the confluence of theVáh andVlára rivers, at the foothills of theWhite Carpathians. It is 15 km (9.32 mi) fromTrenčín and 10 km (6.21 mi) from theCzech border.
The first written record about Nemšová was in 1246. The present-day town exists since 1989, when it was created by merger of the villages of Nemšová, Ľuborča, Kľúčové and Trenčianska Závada.
