Nicholas "Nels" Podolsky, also spelledPodolski,[1] (December 18, 1923 – March 21, 2007) was a Canadian professionalice hockeyleft winger who played in one regular season and seven playoff games in theNational Hockey League with theDetroit Red Wings during the1948–49 season. Podolsky was born inWinnipeg,Manitoba, but grew up inKirkland Lake,Ontario. He died at Sault Ste. Marie in 2007.[2]
