Neferu I ("the beauty";fl. c. 2135 BC[1]) was the firstqueen consort ofancient Egyptian Eleventh dynasty. She may have been a wife of the KingMentuhotep I.[1]
Her sons wereIntef I andIntef II and she was a grandmother ofIntef III and QueenIah, his wife. She was also a great-grandmother ofNeferu II.[2]
She is mentioned on one stela.
It is possible that she is the same as the QueenNeferukayet, who is thought to be the wife of Intef II. Her titles would be then: "King's wife, his beloved", "King's daughter" and "Royal Ornament".[3]
