TheNawanagar cricket team was an Indian domestic cricket team active infirst-class cricket from 1936 until 1947, operating in the West Zone of theRanji Trophy for twelve seasons. It was based inJamnagar,Gujarat, then part of theNawanagar State.[1][2]
Nawanagar won its only Ranji Trophy in1936–37 when it defeatedBengal in the final.[3][4] It was succeeded bySaurashtra, which began competing in the Ranji Trophy in 1950–51.
