National Secondary Route 224, or justRoute 224 (Spanish:Ruta Nacional Secundaria 224, orRuta 224) is aNational Road Route ofCosta Rica, located in theCartago province.[1]
InCartago province the route coversParaíso canton (Paraíso,Santiago,Orosi,Cachí,Birrisito districts).
On 25 August 2020, the bridge across the dam ofLake Cachí, showed signs of structural instability, with a crack and swing motion when joining the road on the west end (9°50′25″N83°48′18″W / 9.840292°N 83.804992°W /9.840292; -83.804992), after which it was closed.[2]
