TheNational Party (Turkish:Ulusal Parti) is anationalist party inTurkey. The party was founded byGökçe Fırat Çulhaoğlu in 2010.[8]

This party's main idols areMustafa Kemal Atatürk,Doğan Avcıoğlu andMirsaid Sultan-Galiev. Unlike other socialist parties in Turkey, they often criticiseMarxism for beingEurocentrist. They describeKemalism associalism with Turkish characteristics. They also idolize socialist, third worldist andleft-wing nationalist leaders likeYasser Arafat,Gamal Abdel Nasser,Hugo Chávez,Josip Broz Tito andPatrice Lumumba.

This party supports Turkish nationalism againstimperialism andseparatism, socialism againstcapitalism, andsecularism againstfundamentalism.

Despite this party mainly supportscivic andcultural kind of nationalism, they also havePan-Turkist tendencies. They support an aggressiveforeign policy againstArmenia andGreece. They are against any alliance withNATO, theEuropean Union,China orRussia. They are in favour of a Turkic union.[9]

They are often accused of beingchauvinistic andracist inKurdish issue, because of mottos likethere is not a Kurdish problem but a Kurdish invasion,I trade with Turks, therefore my money doesn't flow to thePKK,save your cities from invasion (of Kurds), etc. However Gökçe Fırat claims,Kurdish ethnicity andlanguage are artificial, which were created by imperialist powers, especiallyTsarist Russia andBritish Empire. He also noted:for us, in Turkey there is only one nation and it's Turkish nation. We don't recognise any other ethnic and national identities. That's why we don't discriminate anyone, we see every citizen as Turks.[10]

The party publishesTürksolu and İleri.
