Nathan John McAndrew (born 14 July 1993) is an Australiancricketer.[1] Amedium-fastbowler, McAndrew was called into theSydney Thunder squad forBBL|05, where the Sydney Thunder would ultimately win the championship. He made hisTwenty20 debut on 16 January 2016 against theSydney Sixers.[2]

After linking up with the club throughNSW bowling coachAndre Adams, McAndrew made hisfirst-class debut forAuckland on 5 February 2016 in the2015–16 Plunket Shield, where he played three matches.[3][4]

McAndrew was first called up to theNew South Wales squad in 2019, where he made hisList A debut on 22 September 2019, in the2019–20 Marsh One-Day Cup.[5]

In June 2020, McAndrew was included in theNew South Wales contracts list ahead of the 2020/21 season, where he appeared in the2020–21 Marsh One-Day Cup.[6][7]

In May 2021, McAndrew signed withSouth Australia for the 2021/22 season.[8] McAndrew made hisSheffield Shield debut in the opening game of the2021-22 Sheffield Shield season againstWestern Australia, taking 3/71 in the first innings, includingTest playersCameron Bancroft,Cameron Green andShaun Marsh, and scoring 65*.[9] McAndrew cites his reasons for moving to South Australia as being due to his ambition to playSheffield Shield in addition to white-ball cricket.[10]

He signed forSussex County Cricket Club for the 2023 season.[11] McAndrew went on to rejoin the club for both the 2024[12] and 2025 seasons.[13]

McAndrew is studying Civil Engineering at theUniversity of Wollongong.[14]
