Chadalavada Aravinda Babu is the currentMLA of the constituency, having won the2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election fromTelugu Desam Party.^[4] As of 2019, there are a total of 221,573 electors in the constituency.^[2]^{[needs update]} The constituency was established in 1951, as per theDelimitation Orders (1951).
