Narambuenatitan is agenus oflithostrotiantitanosaursauropod from lateCretaceous (lower-middleCampanian stage) deposits of northernPatagonia ofArgentina.Narambuenatitan is known from theholotypeMAU-Pv-N-425, an incompleteskeleton. It was collected in 2005 and 2006 from theAnacleto Formation (Neuquén Group) in northern Patagonia. It was first named by Leonardo S. Filippi, Rodolfo A. García and Alberto C. Garrido in2011 and thetype speciesNarambuenatitan palomoi. The generic name refers toPuesto Narambuena. Thespecific name honours the discoverer,Salvador Palomo.[1]
Narmabuenatitan was assigned to thecladeLithostrotia in a trichotomy withEpachthosaurus and the more derived cladeEutitanosauria.[1]
