Nandewar (code NAN),[1] aninterim Australian bioregion, is located inNew South Wales andQueensland,[2] and comprises an area of 2,701,977 hectares (6,676,730 acres),[1] surrounded by theBrigalow Belt South to the west, south-west and north-west, and to the east by theNew England Tablelands.[3] This is a region of hills onPalaeozoic sediments andlithosols[2] and ofEucalyptus albens woodlands and summer rainfall.[2]
