Nandewar (code NAN),^[1] aninterim Australian bioregion, is located inNew South Wales andQueensland,^[2] and comprises an area of 2,701,977 hectares (6,676,730 acres),^[1] surrounded by theBrigalow Belt South to the west, south-west and north-west, and to the east by theNew England Tablelands.^[3] This is a region of hills onPalaeozoic sediments andlithosols^[2] and ofEucalyptus albens woodlands and summer rainfall.^[2]
