
Nancy Rock (62°13′01″S59°06′04″W / 62.21692°S 59.10119°W /-62.21692; -59.10119) is a rock lying 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) west ofFlat Top Peninsula,King George Island, in theSouth Shetland Islands. Named by theUnited Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1961 after the American sealing vessel Nancy (CaptainBenjamin Upton) from Salem, MA, which visited the South Shetland Islands in 1820–22.
