Naman Ramachandran is an Indian-born critic and journalist. He is the author ofRajinikanth: The Definitive Biography (Penguin, 2012) andLights Camera Masala: Making Movies in Mumbai (IBH, 2006). He writes forVariety,Sight & Sound,[1] andCineuropa. Based in London, England,[1] he is also on the steering group of the London Indian Film Festival.[citation needed] He also wrote theindependent filmBrahman Naman, which premiered at the2016 Sundance Film Festival.[2]

Early life

Naman Ramachandran grew up inThrissur,Kerala, India and later moved toBangalore,Karnataka.[3][4] He graduated with aMaster of Science (MSc) in Media Management from theUniversity of Stirling in Scotland. He also studied at theAsian College of Journalism in Chennai.[5]
