Inenzymology, aNa+-transporting two-sector ATPase (EC3.6.3.15) is anenzyme thatcatalyzes thechemical reaction

ATP + H2O{\displaystyle \rightleftharpoons } ADP + phosphate

Thus, the twosubstrates of this enzyme areATP andH2O, whereas its twoproducts areADP andphosphate.

This enzyme belongs to the family ofhydrolases, specifically those acting on acid anhydrides to catalyse transmembrane movement of substances. Thesystematic name of this enzyme class isATP phosphohydrolase (Na+-transporting).
