The event will feature a numberprofessional wrestling matches with different wrestlers involved in pre-existingscripted feuds, plots, andstorylines. Wrestlers are portrayed as eitherheels (those that portray the "bad guys"),faces (the "good guy" characters), ortweeners (characters that are neither clearly a heel or a face) as they follow a series of tension-building events, which culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches as determined by the promotion. AtNWA 76,Natalia Markova won theBurke Invitational Gauntlet after last eliminating Tiffany Nieves, granting her an opportunity at theNWA World Women's Championship.[3] Markova would invoke her title shot on the November 19 episode ofNWA Powerrr, where she challengedKenzie Paige for the title. However, the match ended on adisqualification after Nieves came out and attacked Paige, costing Markova the match.[4] Nieves, who had been critical of Markova's various opportunities at the title, would later admit in an exclusive interview to interfering in order to prevent Markova from becoming champion.[5] As a result of this and the lingering feud between the two women, the NWA announced on November 27 that Markova and Nieves would face off at Looks That Kill in asteel cage match, marking the first women's cage match in professional wrestling held in the state ofAlabama.[6]
AtSamhain 2, "HollyHood" Haley J defeatedNatalia Markova and Kylie Paige in athree-way elimination match to become number one contender to the NWA World Women's Championship,[7] for which she will challenge Kenzie Paige at Looks That Kill.[8]
