NGC 950 is abarred spiral galaxy in theconstellation Cetus. It is approximately 205 millionlight-years^[3] away from theSolar System and has a diameter of about 85,000 light-years. The object was discovered in 1886 by Americanastronomer andmathematician Ormond Stone.^[5]
