NGC 796 (also known asESO 30-6) is a massive youngopen cluster located in theHydrusconstellation, with an estimated mass of 990M☉ and an estimated core radius of 4.56ly (1.4pc).[1] It is located in theMagellanic Bridge, between bothMagellanic Clouds at an approximate distance of 192,432light years, (59kpc) from theEarth[2] and was discovered by 19th century EnglishastronomerJohn Herschel on 18 September, 1835.[3]
