NGC 736 is anelliptical galaxy in theconstellationTriangulum. It is an estimated 200 millionlight years from theMilky Way and has adiameter of approximately 85,000 light years. NGC 736 was discovered on September 12, 1784 by the German-BritishastronomerWilliam Herschel.[5][6][7]
