NGC 7031 is a smallopen cluster located in theCygnusconstellation. It was discovered by German-BritishastronomerWilliam Herschel on September 21, 1788.[2][3] It is located at a distance of about 2,934light-years (900pc) from theSun and 29,000 light-years from theGalactic Center.[1]
