NGC 6566 is a compact[4]elliptical galaxy[4] within the constellationDraco. It is located about 250 million light-years (80 Mpc)[3] away from the Sun.[3] It was discovered on October 27, 1861 by the astronomerHeinrich d'Arrest.[5]
