NGC 5838 is alenticular galaxy in theconstellationVirgo, discovered byWilliam Herschel in 1786.[2] It is a member of theVirgo III Groups, a series of galaxies andgalaxy clusters strung out to the east of theVirgo Supercluster of galaxies.[3]
