NGC 5601 is alenticular galaxy around 259 millionlight-years away in theconstellation Boötes.[1][3] NGC 5601 was discovered on March 27th, 1867 by the Irish astronomerRobert Ball, and it has a diameter around 88,000 light-years.[1][4][2] NGC 5601 is not known to have muchstar formation, and it is not known to have anactive galactic nucleus.[1][2]
