NGC 543 is anelliptical galaxy located around 324 millionlight-years away in theconstellation Cetus. NGC 543 was discovered on October 31st, 1864 byHeinrich Louis d'Arrest.[4][5][6] It is not known to have muchstar formation, and it is a member of thegalaxy clusterAbell 194.[3]
