NGC 4871 is alenticular galaxy located about 310 millionlight-years away[2] in theconstellation ofComa Berenices.[3] NGC 4871 was discovered by astronomerHeinrich d'Arrest on May 10, 1863.[4] It is a member of theComa Cluster.[5][6]
