NGC 435 is anintermediate spiral galaxy located around 478 millionlight-years away in theconstellation Cetus.[1][2] NGC 435 was discovered on October 23, 1864 byAlbert Marth, and it does not have anactive galactic nucleus or muchstar-formation.[1]

NGC 435 was described byJohn Louis Emil Dreyer as "extremely faint, small, extended."[3]
