NGC 4206 is aspiral galaxy located about 70 millionlight-years away from Earth in the constellation ofVirgo. The galaxy is visible with most moderate amateur telescopes at 13thmagnitude. It was discovered by British astronomerWilliam Herschel on 17 April 1784 and is a member of theVirgo Cluster.[5][4]
