NGC 4027 (also known asArp 22) is abarred spiral galaxy approximately 83 millionlight-years away[2] in theconstellationCorvus. It is also apeculiar galaxy because one of itsspiral arms goes out more than the other. This is probably due to agalactic collision in NGC 4027's past.

Onesupernova has been observed in NGC 4027: SN 1996W (type II, mag. 16) was discovered by theBAO Supernova Survey on 10 April 1996.[3][4]
