NGC 3981 is an unbarredspiral galaxy located 65 millionlight-years away[4] in the constellation ofCrater.[5] It was discovered on February 7, 1785, byWilliam Herschel.[6]
NGC 3981 is a member of theNGC 4038 Group[7][8][9][10] which is part of theVirgo Supercluster.[8][11]
