NGC 3705 is abarred spiral galaxy in the constellationLeo. It was discovered byWilliam Herschel on Jan 18, 1784.[3] It is a member of theLeo II Groups, a series of galaxies andgalaxy clusters strung out from the right edge of theVirgo Supercluster.[4]
Onesupernova has been observed in NGC 3705: SN 2022xxf (type Ic, mag. 15.5).[5]
