NGC 3191 (also known asNGC 3192) is abarred spiral galaxy in the constellationUrsa Major. It was discovered on 5 February 1788 byWilliam Herschel. It is located at a distance of about 400 millionlight years from Earth, which, given its apparent dimensions, means that NGC 3191 is about 115,000 light years across.

The galaxy has been distorted andinteracts with a companion about 0.5 arcminutes to the west, a galaxy identified asKUG 1015+467. An extremely blue tidal bridge lies between them.[2] It was discovered byGaia on 23 May 2017.
