NGC 2064 (also designated asLBN 1627) is areflection nebula that is located 1600light years away fromearth[2] in theconstellationOrion. It was discovered on January 11, 1864, byHeinrich d'Arrest.[1] It is part of a group of nebulae that includesMessier 78,NGC 2071 andNGC 2067. Objects that appear close to NGC 2064 from our perspective include theSpirograph nebula,Horsehead nebula,Flame nebula,Rosette nebula and theOrion nebula.[3] This object has a magnitude of 8.2.[4]
