NGC 1997 (also known asESO 86-SC1) is anopen cluster located in theDorado constellation which is part of theLarge Magellanic Cloud. It was discovered byJohn Herschel on November 30, 1834.[4] Its apparent magnitude is 13.43 and its size is 1.80arc minutes.[2]
