NGC 1820 (also known asESO 85-SC39[3]) is anopen cluster in theDorado constellation. It is located within theLarge Magellanic Cloud.[2] It has a magnitude of 9.0[4][5] and was discovered byJohn Herschel on 2 January 1837.[5]
