Mustapha Dahleb (born 8 February 1952) is an Algerian former professionalfootballer who played as amidfielder. Having begun his career atSedan andCR Belouizdad, he spent most of his career atParis Saint-Germain before playing a final season atNice. At the international level, Dahleb represented theAlgeria national team.
He holds the records of being the fourth-highest goalscorer for Paris Saint-Germain in theFrench first division and seventh all-time goalscorer in all competitions.
Dahleb played with theAlgeria national team in the1982 FIFA World Cup, where Algeria failed to progress past the group stage.[1]
He held the record for being the all-time leading scorer forParis Saint-Germain in theFrench first division with 85 goals[2] before being surpassed byZlatan Ibrahimovic.[3] Dahleb is the club's sixth all-time goalscorer in all competitions, with 98 goals.[2]
