TheMusheerabad Mosque, also known as theMasjid e Kalan, and as theMusheerabad Badi Masjid, and as theJama Masjid Musheerabad, is amosque located in theMusheerabad locality ofHyderabad, in theHyderabad district of the state ofTelangana, India.[1][2][3] The original portion was constructed in 1560CE byIbrahim Quli Qutb Shah,[4] the fourth Sultan of theQutb Shahi dynasty and is identical to theHayat Bakshi Mosque located inHayathnagar area ofHyderabad.

After the fall of Golconda, the mosque went into disuse and remained abandoned till the area became ajagir ofNawab Arastu Jah, thePrime Minister during the reign ofNizam Ali Khan. It was also repaired in 1951. Today, the old structure is in a dilapidated state.

A new four-storied portion has been constructed to accommodate thenamazis. There used to be a large courtyard where the new portion stands today.[5]

The mosque was completed in theQutb Shahi style and has five lofty arches and twominarets at the corners.
