TheMunicipality of Mengeš (pronounced[ˈmeːŋɡəʃ]ⓘ;Slovene:Občina Mengeš) is amunicipality in the eastern part of the traditional region ofUpper Carniola in centralSlovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town ofMengeš. It is located approximately fifteen kilometers from the Slovenian capital ofLjubljana. Mengeš became a municipality in 1995.[2]
In addition to the municipal seat of Mengeš, the municipality also includes the settlements ofDobeno,Loka pri Mengšu, andTopole.
