TheMunicipal Borough of Widnes was amunicipal borough centred around the town ofWidnes inLancashire,England from 1892 until 1974.[3]
The district was abolished in 1974 under theLocal Government Act 1972 when it merged withRuncorn Urban District and parts ofRuncorn Rural District andWhiston Rural District to form theBorough of Halton inCheshire.
