Ilkeston was amunicipal borough inDerbyshire,England from 1887 to 1974.[1][2] It was formed under theMunicipal Corporations Act 1882.
The borough was abolished in 1974 under theLocal Government Act 1972 and combined with theLong Eaton Urban District and part of theSouth East Derbyshire Rural District to form the newErewash district.[3]
