Multi-satellite link is – according toarticle 1.114 of theInternational Telecommunication Union's (ITU)ITU Radio Regulations (RR)[1] – defined as «A radio link between a transmittingearth station and a receiving earth station through two or moresatellites, without any intermediate earth station. A multi-satellite link comprises oneup-link, one or more satellite-to-satellite links and onedown-link.»
Eachstation shall be classified by theservice in which it operates permanently or temporarily.
