Mullaghreelan Rath (Irish:Ráth Mhullach Raoileann) is aringfort (rath) andNational Monument located inCounty Kildare,Ireland.[1][2][3][4]
Mullaghreelan Rath is located at a height of 170 m (560 ft), overlooking theRiver Greese. It is surrounded by Mullaghreelan Woods, aCoillte forest.
The rath was mentioned in ancient Irish manuscripts in association with theKings of Leinster:rí Raithleand (King of Reelan) is mentioned twice inLebor na Cert. In 1854, acelt was found in the rath.[5] In 1861, aBronze Ageburial urn was discovered nearby.[6]
