TheMrežnica (pronounced[mreʒnit͡sa]) is ariver inKarlovac County,Croatia.It is 63 kilometres (39 mi) long and its basin covers an area of 64 square kilometres (25 sq mi).[1]
Mrežnica is considered special due to its large number ofwaterfalls, totalling 93. It rises inKordun, west ofSlunj, and flows northwards, in parallel toDobra andKorana, throughGeneralski Stol andDuga Resa, when it finally flows into the Korana in the south ofKarlovac (atMostanje/Turanj).
TheGojak Hydroelectric Power Plant is a high pressure diversion plant which harnesses the river power of theOgulinska Dobra and Mrežnica rivers.[2]
