History

[edit]

Movement for Reversal was founded in 2015, by a Serbian academicJanko Veselinović, who decided to split from theSocial Democratic Party, claiming that its leadership does not have a clear vision of how to counter theSerbian Progressive Party and theSocialist Party of Serbia.[1][2]

The organisation participated in the2016 Serbian parliamentary elections in a coalition along with theSerbian Left and theSocial Democratic Union.[3] However, the coalition finished ninth with 0.94% of the votes and failed to pass the census.[4]

In 2018, the organisation was one of the founding members of the major opposition coalition called theAlliance for Serbia.[5][6] The coalition boycotted the2020 Serbian parliamentary elections.[7]

In November 2025, it was announced that the PZP would merge into theParty of Freedom and Justice.[8]
