Mount Jackson is ahigh andprominentmountainsummit in the northernSawatch Range of theRocky Mountains ofNorth America. The 13,676-foot (4,168 m)thirteener is located in theHoly Cross Wilderness ofWhite River National Forest, 9.0 miles (14.5 km) west-southwest (bearing 247°) of theTown of Minturn inEagle County,Colorado,United States.[1][2][3][4] The mountain was named in honor of photographerWilliam Henry Jackson, who accompanied theHayden Survey in the 1870s.[4][5]
