Moton Field Municipal Airport (FAALID:06A) is a public-useairport located three nautical miles (3.5 mi; 5.6 km) north of thecentral business district ofTuskegee, a city inMacon County,Alabama,United States. The airport is owned by the City of Tuskegee.[1] It is included in the FAA'sNational Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, whichcategorized it as ageneral aviation facility.[2]
Moton Field is home to theTuskegee Airmen National Historic Site.[3]
Moton Field Municipal Airport covers an area of 275acres (111 ha) at anelevation of 264 feet (80 m) abovemean sea level. It has onerunway designated 13/31 with anasphalt surface measuring 5,005 by 100 feet (1,526 by 30 m).[1]
